Ludwig, who is called Gimli, is a male of ideal size. From my point of view he is a typical English Springer Spaniel. One half of him originates of old English blood lines. His father is from the well known, old Kennel "Calvdale" in North Yorkshire.

Meanwhile Gimli caught the Show bug. He is shown very successfully at Shows. Beside this he is trained as a hunting dog.

Gimli is a typical English Springer Spaniel with a friendly and open temper, who has a high "Will to please". Connoisseurs of the breed will see in him the true English type. Gimli is a true dual purpose Springer. He is used for hunting and passed the most difficult hunting test in Germany with the highest result - a 1st Prize.
